Gracefully swinging through the air, seemingly weightless while hanging from cloths: What looks like impressive acrobatics is called Flying Pilates. It was invented by personal trainer and Pilates coach Sonja Ehrlich. She will introduce participants at the FITBOOK Beach Camp, taking place from September 30 to October 7 in Crete, to this extraordinary sport and show them how Flying Pilates can help achieve new fitness heights.
The trained economist has been working as a trainer since 2007. In 2012, Sonja Ehrlich developed the Flying Pilates training concept, which she offers in courses at her studio in Hamburg and at the FITBOOK Beach Camp. The unique aspect: In Flying Pilates, you float through the room on secured cloths. The sport combines elements from Pilates, functional fitness, suspension training, and aerial acrobatics, creating a unique training experience. Muscles are strengthened, joints become more flexible, and posture improves. In addition to concentration and body tension, Flying Pilates also demands and promotes a high degree of balance and strength–and a bit of trust.
