On May 28, 2026, the Axel Springer Journalists Club became the meeting point for the international longevity scene. With the event “Longevity Now,” FITBOOK, together with the LIFE Summit Berlin, invited guests to an exclusive evening that marked the start of Germany’s leading longevity fair.
The focus was on the big questions surrounding the future of a long and healthy life. Leading experts from medicine, science, health, and lifestyle also discussed current developments in longevity research. This included topics from prevention to personalized health strategies and the societal challenges of an aging population.

Numerous Experts from Various Longevity Disciplines
Among the evening’s guests were Prof. Anita Frauwallner, CEO of Institut Allergosan, entrepreneur and health expert Nils Behrens, Shaolin Kung Fu expert and author Sacha Wenk, longevity physician Dr. Alexander Auer, biomedical scientist Hannah Samira Schmidt, dentist Dr. Katharina Broos, founder of Adon Health Dr. Jonathan Apasu, face yoga expert Anastasia Goron, and actress Mariella Ahrens. In a relaxed atmosphere, numerous conversations and new connections were made between representatives of various disciplines.

FITBOOK and Longevity
“Longevity is part of FITBOOK’s DNA,” said Nuno Alves, editor-in-chief of FITBOOK. “That’s why we were very pleased to have agreed on a closer collaboration with Sebastian Funke and Valentina Asmus, the founders of the LIFE Summit, a year ago. At Axel Springer, BILD, and FITBOOK, we offer exactly what is so important in conveying information about health: competence and credibility. Additionally, he added, “With Longevity Now, we have achieved a wonderfully relaxed start to this event. It was particularly nice that a real exchange developed among all these competent guests.”

Trending Topic: Supplements
A central topic of the evening was dietary supplements and their role in the context of healthy aging. In his keynote, Nils Behrens, host of the health podcast “Healthwise by Sunday Natural,” provided a well-founded overview of the current state of the discussion. His most important advice: Anyone who wants to use supplements effectively should first know their individual health values. “Measure, measure, measure,” was his credo. Because: “For most supplements, they mainly have an effect when there is a deficiency beforehand.”

Inspiring Exchange
Together with partners LIFE Summit Berlin and Sunday Natural, it became clear this evening that longevity is far more than just a health trend. The movement combines scientific insights, technological innovations, and societal change—with the goal of rethinking healthy aging. “What makes longevity so exciting is the connection of diverse perspectives—from science and medicine to nutrition and lifestyle and prevention,” said Melanie Hoffmann, editorial director of FITBOOK. “With ‘Longevity Now,’ we wanted to promote exactly this exchange and bring together people who actively shape the future of health. The many inspiring conversations of the evening also showed how great the interest in well-founded knowledge and interdisciplinary collaboration is.”

The LIFE Summit Berlin will take place on May 29 and 30 at the Estrel Berlin. 3,600 guests from around the world are expected.
