The Path to the Record Began Recently
What makes the achievement even more extraordinary: Mazar only began serious push-up training two years ago. What started with manageable sessions evolved over the months into a regular part of his daily routine–with a clear goal in mind. A hobby turned into structured training, training into a daily challenge–and ultimately a world record.
Already in May 2025, Mazar first made headlines when he completed 1,950 classic push-ups in one hour. With the new record in October, he raised the bar again–this time with tougher conditions and strict execution requirements.

Daily Routines and Live Streams as Motivation
The foundation for these achievements is a daily training program that Mazar not only follows with discipline but also shares publicly. Under the username 365ili_official, he regularly streams his push-up sessions live on TikTok. What began as simple self-motivation evolved into a digital training platform, where thousands follow him–and witness his record attempts live.
The chest-to-ground world record was also broadcast live. The tension was palpable: repetition after repetition, Mazar worked through the hour, the strain visible on him. But in the end, there was a clear result–1,651 clean repetitions, documented and officially confirmed.

Record Announcement with Intent–and Clear Ambitions
Days before the attempt, Mazar left no doubt about his plans. On his social media channels, including Instagram, he openly announced the world record attempt, putting pressure on himself–deliberately. On October 12 at 4 p.m., the livestream began, the goal was clear, the previous record stood at 1,530 repetitions. In the end, Mazar surpassed this mark by over 120 push-ups–and secured his entry into the Guinness Book.1
His social media profiles now proudly display the new status:

New Goals: More–and Harder
Despite this success, Ilja Mazar is far from finished. Shortly after the record, he made it clear that further challenges are to follow–including with additional weights. The next increase seems already planned, and this too will be documented live again.
Discipline Meets Digital Visibility
Ilja Mazar exemplifies a new generation of athletes who combine classic body control with the dynamics of social media. His successes are the result of consistency, public training, and a community that accompanies him. And they show that top performances are possible even outside professional sports associations–if the will is strong enough.
