Sharon Stone recently sparked excitement on social media. The now 68-year-old showed herself in impressive top form. How does the actress manage to look so fit and youthful at nearly 70? FITBOOK knows whether her appearance is due to the next miracle program or a radical Hollywood diet.
In 1992, the then 34-year-old Sharon Stone made film history: In the erotic thriller “Basic Instinct,” she provocatively crossed her legs in the legendary interrogation scene—one of the most famous and controversial erotic moments in film history.
Over the years, however, some health crises accompanied her private life outside of her acting career. Among other things, she suffered a life-threatening stroke in 2001, and in 2022, a tumor was discovered. But currently, the Hollywood icon appears to be doing well—very well, in fact.
Fit at 68
Just a few days ago, Sharon Stone posted a bikini photo of herself by the pool. “Summer is just around the corner,” the actress wrote about her snapshot, in which she is enjoying the sun’s rays. She also shows herself at her best and quite toned in the selfie. No question: Sharon Stone is proud of her body.
In recent months, the actress has increasingly advocated for body positivity and greater acceptance of aging. “Many people give up when they get older. But you still have to love this body,” she said in March 2025 in “The Sunday Times.” “I always joke that my armpits now have wrinkles. What does it matter if they have wrinkles? Maybe that’s exactly what makes them so wonderful now,” she emphasized at the time.

Movement as a Life Philosophy
To stay fit as she ages, Sharon Stone has developed her own fitness routine over the years. She shared insights into what this looks like last June in “Vogue Adria.” Her credo is: “All you have to do is move.” She clarified that fitness for her has nothing to do with extreme training or hours-long sessions at the gym. Her approach is much more practical. She believes in moving the body regularly and staying active—regardless of age.
“You just have to move and incorporate a little resistance. Throughout the day, I just keep moving. I do it on set. I do leg lifts and back kicks, squat down, and do a few jackknifes,” she revealed. “I also do all my ‘arm exercises’ with these lead weights. Pressing up with a lead weight in hand for 15 minutes makes a big difference.” Overall, she relies on a mix of moderate strength training, stretching, and functional exercises.
Dancing also plays an important role in Sharon Stone’s life. She loves music and movement and sees dance not only as training but also as an expression of joy. Additionally, the 68-year-old likes to incorporate pool workouts and water aerobics into her program. Both are particularly gentle on the joints and train the entire body at the same time.
The Inner Center
Another important component for Sharon Stone is various forms of yoga. This keeps her flexible, reduces stress, improves her posture, and helps her find inner peace. She is also deeply engaged with meditation and mindfulness. She is particularly interested in Buddhism and has spoken openly about how important mental balance is for her well-being.

Fewer Rules, More Well-Being
When it comes to her diet, Sharon Stone follows an approach that is anything but extreme. Crash diets or strict prohibitions? Not really. Instead, she highly values natural, fresh, and minimally processed foods.
Sharon Stone has previously revealed that she enjoys eating black rice, kale, and sweet potatoes. Avocado, hummus, and tofu, as well as poached eggs, also make it onto her plate. She often avoids dairy products, as well as sugar or carbonated water. The only sweet treat Stone occasionally indulges in: “I really like dark chocolate and things like that. In the evening, I usually eat some dark chocolate.” Incidentally, this is likely one of her secrets to success. She doesn’t live by rigid rules but by a balanced principle.
Beauty Begins Within
What ultimately makes Sharon Stone particularly relatable is her attitude toward aging. She doesn’t try to rejuvenate her body forcibly but accepts aging as a natural part of life. Instead of striving for perfection, she focuses on being healthy, strong, and happy. Her radiance is therefore not only based on external care but also on self-confidence, inner stability, energy, and positivity.
Her example makes it clear that healthy aging does not mean fighting against time. Because that battle cannot be won in the long run. It is much more important to treat your body well, stay active, and enjoy life with joy and serenity.
