The fruity content only gives the impression that the drink contains the necessary minerals and vitamins. But fruit content and sweetness are often enhanced with flavorings and sugar: The leader contains 55 grams in 100 milliliters. Tooth decay and obesity are possible consequences. Parents should therefore take a close look at what is really in the drink pouches.
Healthy alternatives
As a healthy and more environmentally friendly alternative, drinking water is recommended. To get children to enjoy it, patience and creativity are needed. Water can be flavored with pieces of fruit, herbs, and citrus fruits. Juice spritzers made from one-quarter juice and three-quarters water provide a change in taste.
