Alisha Lehmann is not among the starting players for the Swiss team at the Women’s Euro. However, when she was substituted in the last group match against Finland, she impressively demonstrated that she is always a force to be reckoned with–and why it’s important for a player coming off the bench to always be ready and in top form. But what does Alisha Lehmann’s workout routine actually look like? We’ve done some research to find out what’s known about it.
Sixteen point eight million people follow Alisha Lehmann on Instagram, where she shares her passion for soccer as well as her leisure activities with her fans; on TikTok, she has twelve million followers. It should be easy to find details about the 26-year-old’s training, right? Indeed, you can admire her toned muscles on social media and gain insights into her soccer training. But what about strength training and general workouts off the soccer field? Naturally, the Juventus player is also diligent and disciplined in this regard.

Dribbling, Sprinting, Ball Skills–Alisha Lehmann’s Soccer Training
First and foremost are, of course, soccer skills. Female soccer players run a lot, so they need good endurance. Ball skills like dribbling, passing, and receiving passes, as well as (unstoppable) shots on goal, are the essential skills that athletes must train and perfect to play in good clubs or even on the national team. No wonder the work never stops for Alisha Lehmann–and not just during official training sessions with her teams, but even on vacation.
In April, Alisha Lehmann posted a widely viewed and liked (currently around 155,000 likes) reel showing her on vacation at the beach. There, she didn’t just relax in the sun in a bikini; soccer training was also on the agenda. Her workout included everything previously described (dribbling, running exercises, shooting), only under more challenging conditions: barefoot and on sand. A particular focus was apparently on sprints–a skill that is also essential for female soccer players and differs from long-distance running.
Cardio, Agility, Mobility, and Strength
To perfect soccer skills, it’s essential to create the best physical conditions. That’s why soccer players train cardio, combined with agility and mobility. But strength training must not be neglected–for example, to add more power to shots and for powerful sprints. Unlike long-distance running, sprints require explosive strength and jumping ability to quickly transition from standing or slow jogging to a fast run without injuries.
Therefore, according to a report from the online soccer magazine “Femmefutbol.com,” Alisha Lehmann’s training also includes workouts that contribute to all the previously mentioned fitness elements. As reported in 2023, Alisha Lehmann trains her endurance through running and cycling, often incorporating interval training. For speed and agility on the soccer field, the 26-year-old trains her coordination and reaction skills. Workouts designed to enhance these abilities include cone dribbling or shuttle runs. This way, Lehmann becomes quicker and more agile in her footwork. Stretching exercises like yoga are also part of the athlete’s training plan. They serve general mobility, maintain performance, and help prevent injuries. And yes, the previously mentioned strength training is also part of Alisha Lehmann’s routine. Squats, lunges, deadlifts, and upper body training with weights support muscle building and give Lehmann the strength for explosive sprints and powerful shots on goal.

Insights into Alisha Lehmann’s Strength Training
In collaboration with Clever fit Switzerland, the soccer influencer filmed a clip showing her strength training in the gym. “As a soccer player, I’m in the gym a lot,” she explains. “We do a lot of preventive work to avoid injuries (…). I’m an explosive person. Every day I motivate myself because I’m so grateful and happy to have become a professional, and I always carry that with me and am a rather positive person.” Therefore, it’s not difficult for her to stay motivated and consistently work hard during strength training.
In the video, Alisha Lehmann is seen performing example exercises of the aforementioned training methods in quick succession:
- Rotation training with a medicine ball
- Lunges with dumbbells
- Bulgarian split squats with dumbbells
- Back squats
- Hip stretch in a deep lunge, as is common in yoga
- “World’s Greatest Stretch”
- Leg stretch
- Arm and shoulder stretch
Alisha Lehmann shows that true fitness goes far beyond the soccer field–with discipline, a positive attitude, and a passion that drives her to peak performance.
