For the Morgan family, the action comedy “The Family Plan 2” kicks off again, this time in pre-Christmas London. Once more, family patriarch Dan Morgan, played by Mark Wahlberg, is confronted by his past—this time in the form of “Game of Thrones” star Kit Harington. The two engage in several fight scenes, including one on a moving double-decker bus. In a conversation with FITBOOK, Mark Wahlberg and his co-star Michelle Monaghan shared some details about filming this particular scene.
“The fight was designed and choreographed for a flat, stationary floor,” Mark Wahlberg explained to FITBOOK during a press event for the film’s premiere. “Then you add a moving bus where the driver can’t see you. You, in turn, can’t anticipate when he’ll brake, turn, or speed up. It wasn’t exactly well thought out.” However, he, Kit Harington, and Michelle Monaghan successfully tackled the challenge. “We got through it without major injuries. But sure, you end up with a few bruises,” Wahlberg revealed.
“I Was a Bit Intimidated”
The situation of having to film a fight scene on a moving bus was new and challenging even for the seasoned action star Mark Wahlberg. In a conversation with FITBOOK, he admitted, “Honestly, I was a bit intimidated, but she (Michelle Monaghan; Ed.) enjoyed it. She had fun climbing into the bus to rescue me and—as typical for her character—swinging the fire extinguisher around.”

Great Chemistry Between Mark Wahlberg and Kit Harington
Michelle Monaghan pointed out another difficulty of the stunt shoot: “It was also a really cold day. When you’re fighting outside in cold weather, you feel a bit stiff in your movements. But you (Mark Wahlberg; Ed.) and Kit (Harington, Ed.) have incredible chemistry together, you clearly trusted each other a lot, and you’re both very athletic. He was a great addition to the cast and plays an important role in our family story.”
Wahlberg agreed: “Harington was fantastic. He just jumped right in and did all these action scenes, like the ones in the bank and on the bus. He really fit in well with us.”
