Summer without ice cream is like a beach without the sea. Fortunately, the supposedly sweet sin isn’t as high in calories and fat as its taste might suggest. At least not our FITfuttern superfood chocolate ice cream. DELICIOUS!
Why didn’t we start making ice cream ourselves much earlier?! There’s certainly nothing wrong with the selection at a good ice cream parlor–except perhaps the overwhelming amounts of sugar and cream, which, with regular indulgence, naturally leave their mark on the scale. With the DIY version, you have control (and in the freezer) over how calorie-rich it becomes. Plus, you can cater to your personal preferences down to the smallest detail.

Amaranth Provides an Extra Portion of Lecithin
Our amaranth chocolate ice cream can confidently be called a superfood. We skip the classic granulated sugar and enhance it with a portion of protein in the form of vanilla protein powder. Amaranth adds a light crunch–and thanks to the lecithin it contains, it also stimulates fat digestion. With THIS dessert, a guilty conscience is entirely unwarranted.
For 6 Molds of Chocolate Amaranth Ice Cream You Need
• 200g coconut milk
• 75ml water
• 1 tbsp vanilla protein powder
• 30g cocoa powder
• 30g coconut blossom sugar
• 30g amaranth (puffed)
Here’s How
Mix water, coconut blossom sugar, and cocoa powder and heat everything together. Let it cool thoroughly. Now add coconut milk, protein powder, and the puffed amaranth. Stir everything well and divide into the ice molds.
