Nuno Alves

Editor-in-Chief

Nuno Alves is Editor-in-Chief and co-founder of BILD’s BOOK family of brands, which includes FITBOOK, TRAVELBOOK, STYLEBOOK, TECHBOOK, myHOMEBOOK, and PETBOOK. BILD is Germany’s largest media outlet and part of Axel Springer, the international publishing group that also owns Politico, Business Insider, and Morning Brew. Nuno studied communication science at the German University of Hohenheim. He began his journalism career at Hubert Burda Media—one of Germany’s largest publishing houses—where he helped launch BUNTE.de, the digital platform of the country’s top celebrity magazine. He later joined BILD, first leading the online entertainment desk and eventually serving as chief text editor. He went on to launch TRAVELBOOK, now Germany’s largest online travel magazine. At FITBOOK, Nuno focuses on health, nutrition, fitness, and longevity—core topics that he not only covers professionally but also pursues passionately in his personal life. When it comes to training, Nuno embraces variety: he combines strength workouts, running, and cycling with Capoeira, the Brazilian martial art he began practicing after a trip to Brazil in 2003. In 2010, he earned his graduation rank in Abadá-Capoeira, the world’s largest Capoeira organization. He holds professional certifications as a fitness and health coach and as a nutritionist from the German IST Institute, as well as a Level 1 & 2 Nutrition Coach certification from the Clean Health Institute (Biolayne Certification).
